We are delighted to announce a promotion for experienced adviser Jamie Henderson, highlighting the quality work he has done for clients as an integral part of Cannings Purple’s Government Relations team.

Jamie has been promoted to Director in recognition of the valuable outcomes he has delivered for clients through his extensive government experience and strong network of contacts.

Cannings Purple Managing Director Warrick Hazeldine said Jamie’s talents were reflected by his work to help clients in the agribusiness sector and also WA’s emerging battery minerals sector.

“Jamie has impeccable credentials in the government arena. His ability to deal with challenges calmly and effectively has helped clients achieve the outcomes they need,” Mr Hazeldine said.

“With his background in agricultural economics, Jamie has been a major contributor to the significant growth in our agribusiness practice in recent years.

“He has a passion for economic development and sustainable use of WA’s resources and that’s demonstrated by the pioneering work he is doing with clients to create a world-leading battery minerals industry in the state.

“His promotion, together with new appointments across our teams, reflect the strong growth we have seen in our client base and will ensure we continue building our presence in key market sectors.”

Renee Wilkinson has also been promoted to Associate Director in Cannings Purple’s Government Relations team.

With a background in the public sector, working at both a departmental level and as a ministerial adviser, she has an intimate understanding of how government works.

“Renee has been a key contributor to the success of our Government Relations team over the past decade,” Mr Hazeldine said.

“She has played a crucial role for our clients, helping shape conversations with government and ensuring they get their message across to the right people.

“With her specialist skills in stakeholder engagement, Renee has not only delivered the best possible outcomes for clients but also ones that have benefited local communities.”

Meanwhile, Cannings Purple Special Counsel Richard Harris, an energy specialist in the Government Relations team and Chairperson of the WA Independent Power Association, has been chosen to serve on the Strategic Consultative Group, as part of the State Government’s ongoing reform of the electricity market.
