We’re excited to add to our market-leading government relations team with the appointment of former Commonwealth Treasury executive Jennifer Kirk as Associate Director.

Jennifer brings valuable skills and experience from seven years working in government, including her most recent role as Assistant Director in the Commonwealth Treasury’s Perth office.

“With more than three years’ experience in the Commonwealth Treasury, Jennifer has a strong understanding of the economic and policy issues affecting WA, together with experience in building and implementing strategies to address them,” Cannings Purple Managing Director Warrick Hazeldine said.

“She led the Treasury’s stakeholder and regional engagement on important economic policy reform affecting the WA Government and business, from the state’s growing LNG industry to its tertiary education sector.

“She brings a track record of developing and maintaining productive relationships that deliver results.”

Jennifer is excited to join the Cannings Purple government relations team, which is led by Director Astrid Serventy with Associate Director Renee Wilkinson, Account Manager Tim Grey-Smith and Special Counsels Richard Harris and Paul Vogel.

She has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Notre Dame, where she was awarded the Minter Ellison Prize for Intellectual Property, and also a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in politics.

Prior to joining the Treasury in 2015, Jennifer was a Senior Policy Adviser for both the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Department of Finance.

“I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with the strong team at Cannings Purple to support our clients to better navigate government processes and enable them to engage more effectively with the government on their policy concerns,” she said.
